Executional Excellence is at the heart of Synesis' methodology. While it is widely known that strategies are of no use unless they are executed properly, the concept of Executional Excellence finally provides a systematic approach that enables managers to determine and systematically improve the execution capabilities of their organization. The concept of Executional Excellence builds on a large-scale research effort at the Handelshochschule Leipzig that includes the analysis of detailed data from management practices of more than 2000 managers and key individual contributors at 117 organizations in 44 corporations worldwide. This data has originally been collected in the context of Synesis' consulting work with leading global corporations to improve their "Organizational IQ", a broad measure of the fitness of organizations, developed at Stanford University Business School. While Organizational IQ evaluates a wide range of management practices in the areas of innovation, strategy development, and execution, Executional Excellence is all about creating organizations that "get things done" -without wasting time and resources. |
